FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
At ElDorado Mobility, we pride ourselves in being a valuable resource to our mobility customers, and we know that shopping for a wheelchair accessible vehicle can be a daunting task if your questions go unanswered. We’ve compiled some of the most frequently asked questions about wheelchair van conversions and answered them.
What is “REV Group”?
REV Group is ElDorado Mobility’s parent company. REV is the largest manufacturer of specialty vehicles, with 29 brands and over 240,000 units on the road today. From fire trucks to ambulances, school buses to mobility vans, REV is committed to connecting and protecting people all over the world every day.
I already own a minivan, can ElDorado convert my used van?
Yes - this is a popular option, but certain conditions must be met first. Only certain Chrysler/Dodge models can be converted, the vehicle must have less than 50,000 miles, and it is subject to inspection at our plant before the conversion process can begin. Your ElDorado dealer is the best place to start.
Is financing available?
Yes. ElDorado offers vehicle financing through REV Finance. Your ElDorado dealer has information on this program, and may have additional sources for financing as well. Additionally, part of your cost may be covered by insurance or military benefits, and Chrysler/Dodge offers a $1000 rebate toward the purchase of adaptive equipment. Be sure to ask your dealer for assistance with any local funding programs available in your state.
Is there any trade-in value?
Yes, but of course it depends on the vehicle’s condition. The market for used accessible vehicles is strong, and your dealer will very likely be interested in purchasing your used van or taking it in on trade.
Is there a warranty on the conversion?
ElDorado’s stainless steel floor is backed by the industry’s only 7 year/70,000 mile no rust-through warranty. All other conversion components are covered by a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty, and the original Chrysler/Dodge warranty remains in effect for the chassis.
Where will I get service?
You can get service nationwide at any ElDorado dealer, no matter where you purchased your wheelchair accessible vehicle.
What about Roadside Assistance?
All ElDorado owners of a new Chrysler/Dodge vehicle enjoy 24/7 emergency support for 5 years of 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Free jump start assistance, out of gas/fuel delivery, tire & lockout service, and towing service gives you the peace of mind you need. (administered by FCA US LLC Roadside Assistance Program)
Where are ElDorado vans built?
Our plant is located in Longview, Texas.
